Michael Williams has a strong background in emergency services and management. Michael began their career in 2003 as an Emergency Preparedness Specialist with Wake County Emergency Management, where they were responsible for various planning and technology projects. From 2007 to 2011, they served as the Director of Animal Care, Control and Adoption for Wake County. In 2011, they joined Wake County EMS as the Assistant Chief of Logistics and held this position until 2018. Currently, they serve as the District Chief for Wake County Emergency Medical Services.
Michael Williams attended the UNC Chapel Hill School of Public Health from 2003 to 2006, where they obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a specialization in Leadership.
