Angela Crawford

Angela Crawford, IPMA-SCP, CCWS has extensive experience in human resources management. Angela began their career as a Personnel Officer at NCDOT, where they managed personnel services for the Division of Motor Vehicles. Angela then moved on to become the Cherry Hospital Personnel Director at the NC Department of Health and Human Services, where they oversaw a range of personnel functions for a psychiatric hospital. Angela later became the Agency Human Resources Director at the NC Department of Revenue, where they coordinated and managed human resource operations across multiple states. Currently, Angela serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Wake County, where they supervise a large department and manages a comprehensive human resource program for the county. Throughout their career, Angela has demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to manage large budgets.

Angela Crawford, IPMA-SCP, CCWS has a diverse education history. Angela attended West Brunswick High School and completed their education in 1987. Angela went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Campbell University, which they completed in 1997. During their time at Campbell University, they also enrolled in courses at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to further their studies in Public Administration.

Angela then continued their education at North Carolina Central University, where they earned a Master of Public Administration degree in 2000. Additionally, they completed their studies in Information Science, obtaining a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) from North Carolina Central University in 2006.

In addition to their academic achievements, Angela Crawford has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Angela received the Strategic HR Metrics certification from AIHR Academy in May 2018. In July 2022, they obtained the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Angela also holds an Employing Abilities at Work Certificate from SHRM, which they obtained in May 2023.

It is worth noting that Angela Crawford is also a Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist and a Senior Certified HR Professional (IPMA-SCP) through the Corporate Health & Wellness Association and IPMA-HR, respectively.
