Mingxia Liu

Mingxia Liu is an accomplished professional in the field of molecular medicine and lipid science, currently serving as Assistant Director and Senior Scientist at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since July 2018, while also holding the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine-Molecular Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine. Mingxia Liu has previously contributed as a Research Fellow at Wake Forest Health Sciences, focusing on the role of apoM in HDL metabolism and oral nicotine feeding effects, and has a strong background in cardiovascular research from the Peking University Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases. Educationally, Mingxia Liu earned a PhD in Molecular Pathology with a focus on Lipid Science from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Basic Medical Sciences from Peking University.
