Karen Cooper

Karen Cooper is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing and talent acquisition. Currently serving as an RN BSN CIC - Nurse Navigator in the Neurosurgery Department at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist since October 2024, Karen previously worked as RN BSN CIC in Infection Prevention at Wake Forest Baptist Health from January 2017 to March 2024. Karen's nursing career began at McLeod Health as an RN BSN from June 2015 to January 2017. Prior to focusing on nursing, Karen held various roles in recruitment, including Global Talent Acquisition Consultant at Red Hat and Senior Recruiter positions at both Cisco Systems and Blackbaud. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Francis Marion University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Marymount Manhattan College.
