Nate Whitworth

Nate Whitworth currently serves as an Emergency Department Nursing Assistant at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, where responsibilities include phlebotomy, patient reassessments, and assisting with specialized patient care. In addition to this role, Nate is a Neuroethology Researcher at Wake Forest University under Dr. Susan Fahrbach, focusing on honeybee neural development, and a Spanish Linguistics Researcher assisting Dr. Luis Gonzalez. Nate also holds the position of Head Lifeguard and Certified Lifeguard Instructor at Wake Forest University, overseeing lifeguard operations and training. As Co-President of the WFU Club Swim, Nate manages meet entries, coaches practices, and organizes events. Previously, Nate was the Head Lifeguard at Forsyth Country Club. Education includes ongoing studies at Wake Forest University, expected to graduate in May 2026, and a high school diploma from Mount Tabor High School earned in June 2022.
