Joel Rivera

Joel Rivera currently serves as the Assistant Director of Development for the Z. Smith Reynolds Library at Wake Forest University since September 2022. Prior to this role, Rivera held positions at the University of Florida, including Associate Director of Development & Alumni Affairs and Assistant Director of Development & Alumni Affairs for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from October 2018 to May 2022. In these roles, Rivera was responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects at the annual giving and mid-range levels, with a focus on both individual and corporate or foundation prospects. Additionally, Rivera served as the Executive Director of Dance Marathon at the University of Florida from April 2017 to April 2018, leading the organization to raise over $3 million for UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, making it the most successful student-run philanthropy in the Southeastern United States. Joel Rivera graduated from the University of Florida in 2017.
