Jamal Jones

Jamal Jones is the current Chief Operating & Strategy Officer at Advance Community Health. Jamal has also previously held the position of Director of Business Development for Medicaid at Aetna from September 2016 to January 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Program Manager for Business Operations at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services from July 2014 to September 2016. Mr. Jones began their career as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting from July 2005 to December 2006, where they were responsible for evaluating potential options to respond to negative margins for hospital-owned health plans and developing new operating plans for health plans and hospital systems. Jamal also led the evaluation of current cost accounting drivers and developed new cost accounting drivers for a regional health insurance plan. In addition, they created and executed a strategy to identify unique customer segments and improve the alignment of product offering and price with customer need for a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical firm/medical device manufacturer.

Jamal Jones has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Masters of Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Jamal also has a B.S. in Biology from Davidson College.
