Joyce Malanda

Joyce Malanda is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in patient care and support services, currently serving as a Patient Care Coordinator at Advance Community Health since July 2023. As a Certified Birth Doula with LEADoula, Joyce provides free doula care to Black women, enhancing maternal and infant health outcomes through personalized support and advocacy. Previous roles include Clinical Case Manager at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, where Joyce empowered women in recovery, and various internships focusing on community outreach and youth mentoring. Joyce holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicine, expected to be completed in 2029, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
