Ryan Schwiebert is currently the VP of Information Technology Services at Wake Technical Community College. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President for Information Technology at Southwestern Community College from 2003-2014. In this role, they oversaw all aspects of information technology for the institution, including servers, mainframes, LAN and WAN networks, virtual infrastructure, telephones, web services, email systems, databases, computer labs, and office desktops. Ryan also provided assistance and support to faculty, staff, and students through the college help desk.
Before working at Southwestern Community College, Ryan was an adjunct instructor at Western Carolina University from 1997-2004, teaching in the Engineering Technology Division.
Ryan Schwiebert has a Bachelor of Science in engineering technology from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Science in engineering technology from Western Carolina University, and an Ed.D. in educational leadership from Western Carolina University. Ryan is also a certified government chief information officer.
Ryan Schwiebert reports to Scott Ralls, President. They work with Marla Tart - VP, Finance & Business Services, Jeff Carter - VP, Facilities, and Bryan Ryan - SVP, Effectiveness & Innovation.
