Yorick Bruins has had an extensive work experience since 2010. In that year, they started their own catering business, Cloche, as an entrepreneur. Yorick was responsible for all major business activities, including HR, PR and finance, as well as hands-on chef responsibilities. In 2013, they became a sous chef at Osteria La Bocca Buona and a board member of the Slow Food Condotta of the Università degli Studi di Scienze Gastronomiche (UniSG). In 2015, they joined the Advisory Board of IFSTAL - Interdisciplinary Food Systems Teaching and Learning. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a country representative and business advisor at Agriterra, where they advised agricultural enterprises on improved business development and provided market linkages and access for farmer-led coffee enterprises in Eastern Africa & Asia regions. In 2019, they became a Co-Founder of Wakuli, creating the shortest value chain in coffee, and an Ambassador Scholarship Programme 2019 at One Young World.

Yorick Bruins holds a Master's Degree in MSc Food Policy from City, University of London and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food & Agricultural Science from University of Gastronomic Sciences - Pollenzo.
