Bethany Duarte

Bethany Duarte, MA, currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at The Johns Hopkins University, teaching courses on narrative and place in writing since December 2022. In addition, Bethany holds the position of Senior Editor for Research and Doctoral Services at Walden University and has been the Editor in Chief at Modern Day Wordsmith since January 2010, where responsibilities include editing nonfiction books and coaching doctoral candidates. Previous experience includes roles as an English Composition Professor at Victory College, Office Manager and Registrar at Victory Bible College, Associate Editor at PennWell, ACT Prep Instructor at The Princeton Review, and Records Coordinator at Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Teaching Writing from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Oklahoma State University.
