Murilo L. has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Murilo began their career as an Art Department Freelancer at Folha de S.Paulo in 1993 and worked there until 1994. Murilo then joined Fischer America as an Art Assistant, where they collaborated on designing collateral and ad campaigns for major clients. Murilo worked at Fischer America until 2000.

In 2002, Murilo became an Art Director/Designer and started their own small business at Blender Advertising, where they worked until 2006. Murilo then joined G2 Direct and Digital as a Designer, where they collaborated on projects for BellSouth during the merger with AT&T.

From 2007 to 2009, Murilo worked as a Freelancer Web Designer, taking on various projects at different interactive companies. During this time, they worked on projects such as Comcast Cares Day Atlanta website and the redesign of the workflowone website.

In 2009, Murilo joined Partners and Napier as a Studio Art Director, where they were in charge of all print production projects in the Atlanta office. Murilo worked on design concepts for promoting new and existing products in print, web, and tablet formats.

Murilo then joined Robert Half in 2012 as a Freelance Art Director/Designer Web and Print, working as a senior UI designer at Booz Digital and as an Art Director at The Woo Agency. Murilo provided creative consulting and created concepts for viral videos.

In 2014, Murilo joined Tata Consultancy Services, where they had multiple roles. Initially, they worked as a Digital Art Director, leading the design effort for the Fresenius Kabi mobile app. Later, they transitioned to a Lead UX Designer and Senior Business Consultant, leading UX design for two major applications in the Walgreens Renewal program.

Currently, Murilo works at Walgreens Boots Alliance as a Principal UX Designer. Murilo is responsible for the UX design of the future state Pharmacy Dispense desktop software, which includes touch points on corporate administration, store administration, billing, reporting, and centralized services.

Murilo L.'s education history begins in 1982 when they attended Escola Rudolf Steiner de São Paulo for their high school education, earning a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. From 1990 to 1994, Murilo L. studied at FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communication and Media Studies. In 2000, they pursued further education at Miami Ad School Atlanta @ Portfolio Center, where they completed a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Art Direction from 2000 to 2002. Moving forward, Murilo L. attended California State University, Fullerton from 2014 to 2015 and obtained a certificate in Human-Center Design and User Experience. Their most recent educational endeavor was at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2019 to 2020, where they completed the LEAD Business program certificate in Coorporate Innovation.

In addition to their formal education, Murilo L. has also attained various certifications. In July 2019, they obtained a certification in UX Research Methods: Card Sorting from LinkedIn. Subsequently, in January 2021, they completed a certification course in UX Design Management from Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF). Furthermore, in April 2023, they received a certification in Expert Insights on Leading with Vision from Skillsoft. Additionally, they have been recognized as a Top 1% Mentor in Product Design for the month of March 2023 by adplist.org, as well as being named one of ADPList’s Top 1% Mentors and Rising Stars in October 2023.
