Peng Zhao

Peng Zhao, PhD, currently serves as Principal Data Scientist at Walgreens Boots Alliance, focusing on large language models, LangChain, prompt engineering, and chatbot development since March 2023. Previously, from January 2019 to March 2023, Peng held the position of Senior Data Scientist at Salesforce, where text mining and natural language processing were employed to create machine learning models for predicting customer impact due to software bugs, and models were deployed on cloud platforms. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Staff Engineer at Western Digital, conducting product data analysis and modeling from May 2013 to January 2019, and extensive research as a PhD student at The Ohio State University from 2006 to 2013, specializing in femtosecond laser applications for material property measurements. Peng also holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, awarded in 2006.
