Wei-Yu Tsai

Wei-Yu Tsai has a strong background in data science and research. They started their career as a Research Assistant at National Tsing Hua University in 2009 and continued to work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Penn State University from 2013 to 2017. During this time, they also gained industry experience through summer internships at IBM research in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, they joined Intel Corporation as an Autonomous Driving Software Developer and Tech Lead, where they worked until 2021. From 2021 to 2023, they worked as an Applied Research Scientist at Meta. Currently, Wei-Yu Tsai holds the position of Principal Data Scientist, Algorithm at Walgreens Boots Alliance.

Wei-Yu Tsai completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Control Engineering at National Chiao Tung University from 2005 to 2009. They then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University from 2009 to 2011. Finally, Wei-Yu Tsai earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Penn State University between 2013 and 2017.
