Michael J. Melody

Michael J. Melody has over three decades of experience in real estate finance and investment banking. Currently, Michael serves as Managing Director at Walker & Dunlop, a position held since August 2019. Prior to this role, Michael worked at JLL from 2010 to August 2019, where responsibilities included Executive Managing Director and Co-Head of Real Estate Investment Banking, along with serving as President and CCO of JLL Securities, Inc. Earlier career positions include Vice Chairman of Capital Markets at CBRE, as well as leadership roles at CBRE Capital Corporation and CBRE Melody. Michael began professional endeavors at L.J. Melody & Company, where the role of Executive Vice President was fulfilled from 1987 to 2003. Michael holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Real Estate Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering, both from The University of Texas at Austin.
