Richard Snowden

SVP, Marketing at Wallace Distribution Company

Richard first met John D. Wallace while selling high school annual ads.He joined the company in 1962 while attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.He worked through their training program for the next four years.

After graduation, Richard served in the Marine Corps and worked as an industrial sales representative upon his return in 1967.He also served as industrial sales supervisor.In 1982, he was appointed assistant sales manager for the hardware division and in January of 1984, Richard was promoted to sales manager of the hardware division. In 1985, he was promoted to Vice President & Sales Manager, Hardware Division and in 2009, he became Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Richard’s responsibilities have included managing the PRO and Farm Mart stores program, store design and merchandising programs, show design, marketing funds management, and working with the sales team on program implementation.Currently, he is heading up the newly revised industrial division of Wallace hardware.2018 marks his 56th year with Wallace Hardware.

Richard serves as lay minister and elder in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.He has served on various Presbytery and Synodical Boards and Agencies.He has two children, Scott and Deanna, and three grandchildren.He and his wife, Denzel, spend their “fun-time” on the farm where they have a cow-calf beef operation.
