MacArena Álvarez Almagro

Macarena Álvarez Almagro has a diverse work experience ranging from internships to managerial roles. Macarena started their career as an Administration and Accounting intern at Gráficas la Paz in 2013. Macarena then moved on to iwoca, where they worked as a Business Development and Sales Executive and later as an Account Manager, focusing on loan agreements, risk assessment, and anti-fraud policies. In 2016, they joined Zank as an Operations Manager, overseeing departments and implementing efficient processes. Currently, Macarena is working at Wallapop as a Payments Specialist, responsible for optimizing user experience and reducing customer contact rates. Macarena also serves as the CS Operations Team Lead, leading a team of 5 people and ensuring effective coordination with BPOs. Overall, Macarena has demonstrated leadership skills, a strong data mindset, and a focus on improving processes and customer experience.

Macarena Álvarez Almagro completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidad de Granada from 2009 to 2013. In 2022 and 2023, they pursued an Executive Master's degree in Operations and Innovation from Esade. Currently, they are enrolled at the International University of Japan, specializing in International Strategy with a focus on Operational Excellence in Japan.
