Nils Christoffersen is an accomplished Executive Director at Wallowa Resources since July 1999, focusing on rural community revitalization through land stewardship and renewable energy initiatives. In addition, Nils serves as a member of the USDA Rural Community and Economic Development Subcommittee, is a Leadership Team Member of the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition, and participates in the Rural Action Roundtable on Equity under the Aspen Institute's Community Strategies Group. Nils has held significant positions such as Board Member for the World Forestry Center and the Oregon Board of Forestry, overseeing key forest policy matters. Nils' earlier experience includes roles with the National Commission on Science for Sustainable Forestry, Africa Resources Trust USA, and IUCN - The World Conservation Union. Nils holds an M.Sc. in Forestry from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in Economics from Williams College.
