Helen Gau

Helen Gau currently serves as the Director of Site Merchandising at Walmart, where responsibilities include directing digital experiences for a key eCommerce department and achieving a year-over-year trend reversal in gross merchandise volume. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at Macy's, where Helen implemented initiatives to enhance ethnic diversity representation. At Bloomingdale's, Helen held multiple roles including Director of Business Strategy and Director of Site Merchandising, focusing on growth, profitability, and omnichannel strategies during the pandemic. Helen began the career at J.Crew and gained early experience at prestigious companies such as Fendi and wmagazine, and contributed to education as a classroom teacher with Teach for America. Helen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Spanish from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Education from Pace University.
