Alyosha Makarov has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan in 2014. They then took on the role of a Financial Analysis / Project Management Rotation at NSF International from 2016 to 2017. In 2016, Alyosha also served as a Finance Instructor at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
Alyosha Makarov joined Epic in 2017 as a Project Manager and worked there until 2018. Following that, they joined Zendesk and held various positions over the years. They started as a Business Development Representative in 2018 and later became an SMB Account Executive and then a Commercial Account Executive. From 2021 to 2022, Alyosha worked as a Senior Commercial Account Executive at Zendesk, where they built trusted relationships with customers and prioritized new business logos within their territory.
Currently, Alyosha is working at Walnut as the Head of Enterprise Sales, a position they have held since February 2023.
Alyosha Makarov has a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from the University of Michigan. Alyosha also pursued a degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations & Arabic from Al-Ahliyya Amman University. Furthermore, Alyosha has obtained several certifications including Value Negotiation from Force Management in March 2019, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020, Zendesk Support Administrator from Zendesk in January 2021, Introduction to Web Development from Cognitir in November 2016, and Epic Home Health and Hospice from Epic in July 2017.
