Jaap Frolich

Jaap Frolich has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Jaap is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Walnut, having joined in January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineering Manager at Walnut from January 2022 to January 2023 and as a Software Engineer from June 2021 to January 2022. Before joining Walnut, Jaap was a Co-Founder and CTO at Weldon from March 2021 to July 2021. Jaap also co-founded Family5, a company acquired by Weldon, where they worked as a Co-Founder from January 2019 to March 2021. As a Co-Founder of Cogo from January 2016 to December 2018, Jaap played a crucial role in its establishment. Jaap gained valuable experience as a Senior Associate/Assistant Manager and Consultant/Senior Consultant at Deloitte Analytics Southeast Asia from September 2014 to December 2015 and February 2013 to September 2014, respectively. Additionally, Jaap worked on their MSc Thesis at Deloitte Analytics Southeast Asia from July 2012 to February 2013. In 2010, they owned Dynamicka and also worked as a Developer at Websend BV, where they contributed to the development of their platform. Jaap completed another MSc Thesis at Go About from February 2010 to August 2010. Jaap began their career as a Developer and Designer at SundayAfternoon in 2009 and also worked as a Developer at OGD in the same year.

Jaap Frolich began their education in 2003 at Delft University of Technology, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design Engineering in 2007. Jaap then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Strategic Product Design at the same institution, which they completed in 2010. In 2009, Jaap began their pre-master studies in Econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and they continued in this field by earning a Master of Science degree in Econometrics from the same university in 2012.
