Matthew Payne

Matthew Payne, PE, PMP, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in structural and civil engineering, currently serving as a Senior Design Build Manager at The Walsh Group since February 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew held various leadership positions, including Director of Engineering at The Strong Rock Group, where collaboration with engineering teams focused on delivering shovel-ready properties, and Senior Project Manager at Dewberry, overseeing large infrastructure projects as well as managing a team of structural engineers. Career milestones also include focusing on highway infrastructure at Atkins, contributing to infrastructure projects at The Louis Berger Group, and gaining foundational experience in design and construction at multiple firms including Moffatt & Nichol, Florence & Hutcheson, Yeager Skanska, TY Lin International, and MK Centennial. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
