Johannes Buchmann

Johannes Buchmann has extensive experience in operational leadership and IT management, currently serving as COO at De Gruyter Brill since February 2013, where efforts focus on transformative initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. Previously, Buchmann held several key roles at De Gruyter Brill, including Director IT, overseeing significant IT projects such as the successful rollout of the RSuite CMS, and Senior Manager Data Quality, where a notable achievement was a 71% reduction in external consulting costs through increased automation. Prior to this, Buchmann worked as Manager Production/Purchasing at the European Professional Publishing Group and held various production roles at Springer Science+Business Media, managing print purchasing and automating publication processes. Buchmann holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) in Media Production from HTWK Leipzig, earned from 2000 to 2005.
