Chuck Cardwell

Having joined Walter P Moore in 2019, Chuck launched the firm's Charlotte, North Carolina office, where he serves as a Principal and the Managing Director of Structural Engineering. Bringing 35+ years of structural engineering experience, Chuck is an accomplished leader, efficiently managing complex projects and multifaceted teams. His diverse project experience in many market sectors including healthcare, higher education, sports, and parking is invaluable in leading the Charlotte office.

Throughout his distinguished career, Chuck has remained actively involved in various professional organizations, assuming several leadership roles. He has served as president of the Construction Professional Network of NC, the NC Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Charlotte Chapter of the Construction Specification Institute.

Chuck earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Civil Engineering (Structures) from North Carolina State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in North Carolina and South Carolina.
