Managing Principal, Structures at Walter P Moore

Richard leads the firm’s structural engineering practice in Florida. He has over 28 years of structural engineering design experience and has developed expertise in all aspects of project delivery, with particular emphasis on finding practical, cost-effective structural solutions to architectural challenges. Majority of his work is in healthcare, aviation, hospitality, education, office building, sports, and public use projects located all over Florida. Richard has led the design of an impressive array of buildings including such award-winning projects as the Tampa Convention Center, the NHL St. Pete Times Forum, the 36-story SunTrust Financial Centre and the Florida Aquarium. He was Past President of the American Concrete Institute - Suncoast Chapter and is involved with the Florida Engineering Society and Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham in England.
