Brain Trauma Research Scientist at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research

Hiren Modi, PhD, is a seasoned Brain Trauma Research Scientist at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, focusing on mitochondria-targeted therapeutics in traumatic brain injury since December 2019. Previously, Hiren served as a Senior NRC Fellow, contributing to the discovery of similar therapeutics. As the Founder and CEO of Seedomics Inc. from January 2018 to December 2021, Hiren developed treatment guidelines and utilized real-world data analytics to enhance the oncology ecosystem. Hiren's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where projects involved improving post-cardiac arrest outcomes, and prior research roles at SMI and the National Institutes of Health, where noteworthy drug targets for bipolar disorder were identified. Hiren holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, complemented by a Master’s and Bachelor’s in the same field.
