Sophia Gielink has a range of work experience in various industries. Sophia started their career as a Hot Wheels Product Development Intern at Mattel, Inc. in 2017. Sophia then moved on to serve as the Director of Ohio State Industrial & Systems Engineering Cohort at The Ohio State University from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they worked as a Food Production/Industrial Engineering Intern at Good Foods Group, LLC.
In 2019, they held two positions. First, they were a Manufacturing Management Intern at The Kraft Heinz Company from June to August. Later in the year, they became the Vice President at Best Food Forward from January to December.
In 2020, they joined AmeriCorps VISTA as a Food Security Volunteer Programs Specialist, where they worked until August 2021. Following that, they transitioned to the role of Quality Assurance Manager at Wana Wellness from September 2021 to June 2022. Currently, they are working as a Quality Assurance Manager at Wana Brands starting from 2022.
Sophia Gielink obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Food Engineering from The Ohio State University, completing their education from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications including Sensory Screening from Northland Sensory Insights in July 2018, ServSafe Food Handler from ServSafe Certified in January 2018, Civil Rights for Food Security from the Food Bank of the Rockies in August 2020, and Warehouse Food Safety from the Food Bank of the Rockies in August 2020.
