Pavel Gurevich

Pavel Gurevich has a diverse and extensive work experience. Pavel currently holds the position of Head of ML / Machine Learning Research at Wand, starting in June 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded CertaintyLab in 2020 and served as the Chief Research Officer (CRO) and Head of AI. In this role, they were responsible for shaping AI research and supervising various AI/ML projects.

In terms of academic experience, Pavel worked at Freie Universität Berlin from 2008 to 2020 in different roles including Privatdozent, Principal Investigator, and Researcher. Pavel was also a researcher and Humboldt fellow at Heidelberg University from 2006 to 2008.

Earlier in their career, Pavel worked at Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University), MAI, as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer from 2003 to 2005.

Pavel Gurevich holds a Habilitation in Mathematics from both Freie Universität Berlin and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, which they achieved in 2008. In 2002, they obtained a PhD in Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU). Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) between 1994 and 2000.
