Ravid Shwartz Ziv

Ravid Shwartz Ziv currently serves as a CDS Faculty Fellow and Assistant Professor at New York University since September 2021. In January 2024, Ravid began a role as Senior Researcher and Team Lead at Wand, following extensive experience as a Research Scientist at Intel Corporation from March 2013 to January 2024. Ravid's academic career includes a position as a PhD Student Researcher at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2014 to September 2021 and a stint as a Student Researcher at Google from June 2019 to May 2020, focusing on the generalization ability of deep neural networks. Ravid also contributed as a Volunteer Programmer at The Public Knowledge Workshop from 2012 to 2017 and as an Algorithm Developer and Researcher at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2012 to 2013. Ravid holds a PhD in Brain Science and Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completed in 2021, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Bioinformatics from the same institution, obtained in 2014.
