Erik Mrotek

Erik Mrotek is an experienced broadcast professional currently serving as a 4:00 News Producer and 6:00 Anchor at WAOW since July 2022, having previously held the position of 6:00/10:00 News Producer. Prior experience includes a role as Communications Coordinator at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church and as a Content Writer/Brand Journalist at Sentry Insurance from March 2016 to July 2021, where Erik developed promotional materials for various insurance services. Erik's background also encompasses work as an Audio Board Engineer at Sunrise Broadcasting, LLC, and as a Financial Advisor at Whalen Financial Group. Erik's career in television began at WSAW-TV, where Erik worked from October 2009 to December 2012 as a Television Producer/Reporter and News Anchor, and Erik gained extensive experience in various roles at WAOW earlier in their career. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and an Associate Degree from the University of Wisconsin: Marshfield-Wood Co.
