Amlan Mukherjee

Amlan Mukherjee, Ph.D., P.E., serves as the Director at WAP Sustainability since May 2023, following a significant tenure as a Climate Challenge Program: Life Cycle Assessment Technical Specialist at the Federal Highway Administration from August 2021 to May 2023. Mukherjee has held influential positions in various organizations, including Board Member and Board Chair of the Green Building Initiative from June 2017 to December 2024, and Founder and Partner of Trisight, which provided life cycle assessment services and was acquired by WAP Sustainability. Mukherjee’s academic career spanned nearly two decades at Michigan Technological University, where roles included Professor and Associate Professor in the Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering departments, focusing on teaching and research in contingency planning and risk analysis. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington and a Master’s degree from the University at Buffalo.
