Mili Del Castillo has a comprehensive work experience in the architectural and design industry. Mili is currently working as a Design Director at Ware Malcomb since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at DLR Group as a Senior Associate and Project Leader from 2021 to 2023. Mili also founded their own company, mdcworkshop, where they provided management, design strategy, and design director services from 2019 to 2021.
Before that, Mili worked as a Senior Designer at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) from 2017 to 2018, and as a Designer at Gensler from 2013 to 2017. Mili started their career as an Architectural Designer at Swatt | Miers Architects in 2012 and later worked as a Project Manager at CBRE in 2011. Mili also gained international experience as an Architectural Designer at WHL Architects*Planners, Inc. from 2007 to 2012, where they established the International Studio and worked on various projects.
In addition, Mili served as a Design Architect and Masterplanner at State and City Planning (SCP) Consultants Private Limited in 2011, and as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley in 2007.
Throughout their career, Mili has been involved in a range of projects, including workplace, residential, mixed-use, entertainment, and hospitality. Mili has managed projects, led design processes, and collaborated with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality built environments and user experiences.
Mili Del Castillo received their Bachelor of Architecture degree from Universidad Ricardo Palma, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Mili then pursued their Master of Architecture degree at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2006 to 2008. In 2019, they completed a Project Management Capstone program at UCLA Extension, focusing on project management.
