Sean Kowaski

Sean Kowaski has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software development industry. Sean started their career at Emerging Information Systems Inc. in 2003 as a Senior Software Developer, where they primarily worked in C++ and focused on the calculation engine and UI. Sean incorporated the use of SOLID principles and various design patterns.

In 2011, Sean worked as a Software Architect at Zywave, where they primarily worked with C++ and the Calculation Engine.

From 2012 to 2017, Sean took on the role of Director of Software Development at Grind Software Inc., where they utilized their skills in Scala, Objective-C, Java, iOS development, and JavaScript frameworks (Ember.js and Backbone.js).

Sean then worked at Teranet Inc. from 2014 to 2017 as a Contract Software Developer, where they upgraded legacy software to RESTful web applications using Java for the back-end and the Ember.js single-page JavaScript framework for the front-end.

In 2017, Sean worked as a Contract Software Engineer at PuppySpot and Fusion92, where they were involved in software development projects.

From 2018 to 2019, Sean worked as a Contract Software Developer at Advicent and later joined Warecorp in 2020 as a Contract Software Engineer, working on various projects for clients, including implementing a React frontend for the Nvidia On Demand platform.

Furthermore, Sean co-founded Crowdscriber Inc. in 2015 and held the position of Co-founder and Vice President until October 2022. Sean managed and developed the Crowdscriber application, a SaaS product that facilitates subtitling and translation of YouTube videos for content producers.

Sean Kowaski completed their Bachelor of Computer Science, Honours degree at the University of Manitoba, specializing in Computer Science. Sean attended the university from 1998 to 2003.
