Irving Ruan

Irving Ruan is a talented television writer currently engaged with AMC Networks, contributing to a new drama series executive produced by the creators of notable shows such as Succession and Better Call Saul. Since July 2021, Ruan has also served as a Writing Fellow at Warner Bros. Discovery and as a Contributing Writer for The New Yorker since April 2018. Prior experience includes writing for the Peacock series Twisted Metal at Sony Pictures Entertainment and a range of technical roles spanning software engineering and consultancy at companies like Box and TuneIn. Ruan co-founded Heirloom and began a career in software development with positions at the California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. A graduate of UC San Diego, Ruan holds a B.S. in Computer Science.
