Alicia James has extensive work experience in the mental health field. Alicia is currently the Director of Adult Day Care at Wartburg since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sanctuary for Families where they held various roles, including Assistant Deputy Director of Residential Services, Program Director of Residential Services, Residential Services Manager, and Case Manager from 2013 to 2022. Before joining Sanctuary for Families, Alicia worked at Mosholu Montefiore Community Center, Inc. where they served as a Head Start Family Assistant, Assistant Teacher, and Afterschool Counselor from 2006 to 2013.

Alicia James, LMHC, obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from Touro College Graduate School of Psychology. Alicia attended this institution from 2010 to 2013. Prior to their graduate studies, Alicia completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology at Fordham University, where they studied from 2004 to 2009.
