Benard Muteti

Benard Muteti is an experienced Power Plant Operations Engineer currently working at Wärtsilä since February 2019, where responsibilities include the start-up, shutdown, and operation and maintenance of an 80MW power plant, alongside the maintenance of Wärtsilä V20W32 engines and auxiliary equipment. Previously, Benard held a similar role managing a 74MW power plant and performed routine servicing on transformers and switchyard components. Prior experience includes positions as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at Diageo, and Electrical Engineering Internships at East African Portland Cement Company and Coca-Cola Beverages Africa. Benard holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University and has completed certifications in Megger Cable Testing and High Voltage Switching and Safety Operations.
