Doug Bellis

Doug Bellis serves as Senior Vice President of Geology at Warwick Group. Doug has a wide breadth of knowledge in discovering hydrocarbon systems and resource plays in the U.S. and internationally in diverse geologic settings over a 38-year timeframe with Chesapeake Energy, EOG Resources, and others.

Doug began his career as the owner and consulting geologist of Bellis Resources from 1987 to 1997, developing prospects in various emerging basins in the Mid-Continent. From 1997 to 2000, Doug worked as a senior geologist in the Permian Basin unit of EOG Resources, exploring prospects and developing fields in Wolfcamp and Bone Springs plays.

Prior to joining Warwick, Doug worked at Chesapeake Energy for 13 years as senior adviser to the Unconventional Resources Group, which explored U.S. shales and worldwide petroleum systems.

Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma.
