Alan McNiven

Alan McNiven has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Alan started their career at Sainsbury's Supermarkets as a Fresh Foods Manager from 1995 to 1999. Alan then joined Starbucks Coffee Company, where they held various roles including Store Manager, District Manager, and Central Operations Manager, during which they implemented cost-saving initiatives, led the operational aspects of Europe's first Starbucks Drive-Thru store, and created a structure to support regional implementation of new projects. In 2009, they joined Pret A Manger as a Regional Project Manager, later transitioning to the role of Operational Standards Development Manager, and ultimately becoming the Head of Operational Standards Development. From 2013 to 2020, Alan worked at Leon Restaurants as the Head of Operations Support. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Operational Excellence at Wasabi Sushi & Bento.

Alan McNiven attended Kingston University from 1991 to 1994, where they earned a BSC Hons degree in Earth Science.
