Role Description: Business Development Representative
Role Purpose:
Wasabi Technologies Inc. helps organizations securely store their important data backups and archives with Wasabi’s fast, highly secure, and inexpensive hot cloud storage. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, driven and ambitious self-starter, who is detail oriented, organized, and continuously pushes themselves past the minimum expectations of the role.
Wasabi’s BDR team play a vital role in driving pipeline growth. Through Wasabi focused trainings/enablement, self-paced learning and competitive research you’ll constantly be learning on the fly for a better understanding of the Cloud Storage market. Your day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and nurturing potential prospects, generating qualified leads, following up on marketing-qualified leads, and building strong relationships. These efforts lay the groundwork for our sales success and ensure continued growth.

Responsibilities:
- Call on hot leads generated from webforms submitted through the Wasabi website (hand-raisers).
- Call on warm leads generated from webinars, trade shows, virtual events, partner events and call on leads generated by your own research.
- Successfully qualify warm leads to determine pain points, use-cases, and potential cloud storage volume needs.
- Schedule appointments and warmly introduce qualified leads to Wasabi Enterprise, Commercial, Channel, or Inside Sales representatives to accelerate their pipelines.
- Routinely capture activities and qualification details in Wasabi’s CRM.
- Work with extended sales teams on account/territory mapping and prospect.
- Meet weekly with marketing colleagues for closed loop feedback on marketing campaign results and success metrics.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic about the challenge of working at a fast-paced and exciting start-up.
- 1+ year experience as a technology BDR / SDR.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business or a similar field.
- Self-starter who enjoys and is very comfortable with cold calling.
- Willingness to continuously learn in an evolving startup.
- Communicates professionally verbally, and in writing.
- Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback (positive or areas of improvement).
- Able to leverage marketing and sales tools (Salesforce, Outreach or comparable sales engagement tool, HubSpot) to automate processes.
- Disciplined about planning and setting goals and achieving success.
