Ms. Akichika joined Wasatch Global Investors in 2021 as Chief Operating Officer—Research. She has extensive experience in financial services.
Prior to joining Wasatch, Ms. Akichika managed a multibillion-dollar family office for a prominent technology entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. Early in her career, she worked as an investment banker for Morgan Stanley & Co., JPMorgan Securities and Hambrecht & Quist. Later, she transitioned to chief operating officer roles for the investment banking department at Thomas Weisel Partners and the global equity team at Artisan Partners.
Ms. Akichika earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard College and a Master of Science in Economic History from the London School of Economics, where she was a Rotary International Scholar. She earned a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Ann grew up in Idaho. She enjoys international travel, the symphony, alpine skiing and golf. She is also an avid basketball fan.
