Jeniece Olsen has a long and varied work experience in the field of homelessness and related services. Jeniece began their career in 2006 as an Intern/Counselor at Kagisano Society Women's Shelter Project. Jeniece then moved to The Road Home as a Housing Case Manager in 2007. In 2009, they were a Peace Fellow at The University of Queensland and an Intern at The Romero Centre. From 2010 to 2013, they worked for the Australian Red Cross, first as a Service Coordinator-Homelessness and then as an Implementation Project Coordinator and Operations Manager Community Recovery Unit. In 2013, they moved to Micah Projects as a Team Leader/Senior Support Facilitator for Partners in Recovery. In 2015, Jeniece was a Program Manager CABHI at the Utah Department of Human Services, Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, and a Deputy Director of Housing Programs and Director of Supportive Housing Services at The Road Home. Most recently, they have been the Chief Operating Officer at Fourth Street Clinic (Wasatch Homeless Health Care) since 2022.
Jeniece Olsen completed their BA in Psychology from the University of Utah in 2002. Jeniece then attended the Universite de St. Etienne from 1999-2000 to study French. In 2004, they completed their MA in Social Work from the University of Utah with an emphasis in International Social Work. In 2009, they completed their MA in International Relations from The University of Queensland with a focus on Peace and Conflict Studies. Jeniece also holds an LCSW certification.
