Jamienne (Jamie) Studley has a diverse and extensive work history. Jamienne (Jamie) is currently serving as the President of the WASC Senior College and University Commission, a position they have held since 2018. Prior to this, they worked as the National Policy Advisor at Beyond 12 and as a Consultant at The Aspen Institute, both in 2016. From 2013 to 2016, Studley served as the Deputy Under Secretary at the US Department of Education. Jamienne (Jamie) also has experience as the President & CEO of Public Advocates Inc from 2004 to 2013, and as the Chair of NACIQI US Department of Education from 2011 to 2013. Jamienne (Jamie) has held various roles at other organizations, including lecturer in law at Stanford Law School, member of the steering committee at California Coalition for Civil Rights, and President of Skidmore College. Studley began their career at the US Department of Education, where they worked as the Deputy and Acting General Counsel from 1993 to 1999.

Jamie Studley completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Barnard College, where they studied from 1968 to 1972. Subsequently, they attended Harvard Law School from 1972 to 1975, earning their Juris Doctor degree with a focus in Law.
