Justine Meyr

Justine Meyr, PhD has a diverse range of work experiences. Justine has worked as a Researcher and Curriculum Developer at Virtual Reality for Education since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Training and Development/ Curriculum Developer at WASC Senior College and University Commission, where they trained teams visiting higher education institutions and worked on accreditation standards. From 2020 to 2021, they served as the Director of Science and Letters at MakeSchool.org, overseeing the general education requirements for a Computer Science degree. Justine also has experience as a Spanish/German Lecturer at UC Santa Barbara, teaching courses and conducting research in language learning technology. Justine worked as a Training Manager at Ransom Seed Laboratory Inc and as an Executive Director at World Experience Teenage Student Exchange. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Financial Analyst at the University of California Education Abroad Program, Spanish Teacher at Todos Los Dias, and English Language Teacher at IPREFER.

Justine Meyr, PhD, completed their education in a chronological manner. In 1998, they earned their Bachelor's degree in History from Brandeis University. Justine then pursued further studies and obtained a Master's degree in Hispanic and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from UC Santa Barbara between 2007 and 2009. Continuing their academic journey, Justine attended UC Berkeley Extension in 2006 and studied Business Administration and Management, although they did not earn a specific degree in this field. Finally, they completed their extensive education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education from UC Santa Barbara between 2012 and 2017.
