Cassie Hunt

Cassie Hunt has a diverse work experience in the field of fundraising and advancement operations. Cassie started their career as an Annual Fund Staff Associate at Washington and Lee University in 2001 and later served as the Assistant Director and then Director of the Annual Fund. During their time there, they successfully increased Annual Fund dollars each year while managing the budget effectively.

Cassie also worked at Bentz Whaley Flessner as a Senior Associate, providing guidance to clients in healthcare, education, and cultural organizations on data-driven fundraising strategies.

Cassie then joined University of Richmond, where they held various roles including Special Assistant to Advancement Systems, Director of Advancement Interactive, and Director of Advancement Data and Reporting. In these roles, they managed the advancement database and coordinated with vendor-provided data systems while overseeing staff and fulfilling data requests.

Cassie also founded and worked as a Lead Consultant at Advancement Edge LLC, offering fundraising counsel to clients in K-12 and higher education and healthcare.

Currently, Cassie is working at Washington and Lee University as the Executive Director of Strategic Analysis, responsible for strategic planning and analysis. Cassie previously served as the Executive Director of Advancement Operations and Director of Prospect Development and Analytics at the same institution.

Earlier in their career, Cassie gained experience as a Development Assistant/Intern at Theater at Lime Kiln.

Throughout their career, Cassie has demonstrated strong skills in strategic planning, data analysis, and fundraising management.

Cassie Hunt has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Leadership and Learning from The George Washington University - Graduate School of Education and Human Development, obtained between 2021 and 2022. Cassie also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Washington and Lee University, earned between 1997 and 2001. Additionally, they have a certification as a Blackbaud Certified Raiser's Edge Professional from Blackbaud.
