David Mabe

David Mabe is a seasoned higher education professional currently serving as the Senior Associate Dean of Admissions at Washington and Lee University since January 2024. Prior to this role, David held various positions in college admissions and counseling, including Director of College Counseling at Woodberry Forest School and Director of Scholar Selection at the Morehead-Cain Foundation. David's experience also includes serving as Associate Dean of Admissions at Bowdoin College and working as a Policy Research Fellow at the New England Board of Higher Education. Earlier in his career, David was the Assistant Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Davidson College. David holds an EdM in Higher Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BA in English from Davidson College, along with studies at the University of Kent.
