John Jensen

John Jensen is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in higher education and finance. Currently serving as Executive Director at Washington and Lee University since December 2011, John oversees key departments including Alumni Engagement, Career and Professional Development, and Lifelong Learning. Previously, John held the position of Dean of Career and Professional Development, directing initiatives that supported the academic and career planning of 1,800 students. John also served as Assistant Dean of the Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics, coordinating student-centered programs and opportunities. With a background in finance as a Director of Equity Sales Trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, John brings a strategic approach to professional development. Education includes a B.A. in History from Washington and Lee University and earlier formative years at the American School in London and Fairfield Country Day School.
