James Goodenough Heuser's work experience begins in 2005 at Boston University, where they worked as a Producer/Editor/Videographer in digital sports production. James held this role until April 2009. From April 2009 to March 2011, they worked as a Website/Television Producer for the Washington Commanders. James then joined the Washington Capitals in April 2011 as a Digital Content Producer, and gradually advanced to roles such as Senior Manager of Digital Media, Director of Digital Media, and Senior Director of Digital Media. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Digital Media for the Washington Capitals, a position they started in July 2022.

James Goodenough Heuser attended Clayton High School from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained their high school diploma with a varied field of study. James went on to study at Boston University from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Film & Television. During their time at Boston University, they also pursued pre-medical studies from 2004 to 2006. James later pursued further education at Boston University from 2008 to 2010, earning a Master of Science degree in Television.
