Allison Davis has extensive work experience in the transportation and urban planning sector. Allison currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Planning and Sustainability at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) since 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Planning at WMATA and held various other positions within the organization, including Director of Strategic Planning and Manager of Regional Planning.
Before joining WMATA, Davis worked as a Senior Transportation Planner at Arup from 2007 to 2011. Allison also served as a Project Consultant at PADECO from 2003 to 2006, where they assessed and developed public transport plans for developing country cities. Additionally, they gained experience as a Summer Intern at the World Bank in 2002 and as a Summer Researcher at the Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India in 2001.
Earlier in their career, Davis worked as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen from 1999 to 2000, a Supply Chain Consultant at Manugistics from 1998 to 1999, and an Associate Consultant at CSC Consulting from 1996 to 1998.

Allison Davis completed their education history as follows:
- From 1990 to 1991, they attended the House of Representatives Page School.
- Allison then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research/Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, from 1992 to 1996.
- Later, they earned two degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: a Master of Science (MS) in Transport and a Master of City Planning (MCP) in Urban Studies Planning, both completed from 2000 to 2003.
In addition to their academic achievements, Allison Davis also obtained various certifications, including the Mid Manager Training Program from the Eno Foundation in 2013, and the American Institute of Certified Planners certification as well as the WTS Leadership Program, both in 2008.
