Linda Buckley has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Linda is currently the VP of Modernization, Strategy & Digital Culture at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Prior to that, they held various roles at Georgetown University, including Associate VP, Office of the CIO, AVP, Administrative Applications, Senior Director for Administrative Applications, Director of Financial Systems and Processes/Workday Financials Production Manager, and Associate Director of Financial Applications/Workday Production Manager. Earlier in their career, they worked at the U.S. Department of Justice U.S. Marshals Service as the Acting Deputy Assistant Director of the Financial Services Division and Chief of PA&E. Linda also worked at the U.S. Navy NAVSEA, PEO Integrated Warfare Systems as Principal Assistant Program Manager and Director of Business Management Operations. Linda has a background in acquisition and program management, having served in multiple roles at the U.S. Department of Defense Missile Defense Agency, CSC, SPARTA, Inc., and SAIC. Linda started their career as the Director of Soviet Studies at the National Institute for Public Policy and later became the Associate Director of Soviet Studies and Mission Analysis at SRS Technologies.

Linda Buckley holds a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) in Political Science/Russian from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained from 1980 to 1984. Linda then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Studies and Economics (Soviet Studies) from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from 1983 to 1985. In 2013, Linda enrolled at Georgetown University and earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from 2013 to 2018. Linda also completed several additional certifications including "Leadership: Shaping and Advancing Georgetown Executives" from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in 2016, and "Program Management" from both the Federal Acquisition Institute in 2011 and the Defense Acquisition University in 2004.
