Jamie Ponton

Jamie Ponton has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. They started their career as an intern at Baltimore Washington Medical Center and Athletic Performance Inc. in 2012. Jamie then moved on to become an Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for the 2013-2014 season, where they focused on player development, recruiting, fundraising, and academic support. They also served as an Athletic Facilities Assistant during this time.

In 2014, Jamie continued their coaching career as an Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College. They assisted the head coach in all aspects of program administration and player development, achieving success with the team. Jamie also took on the role of Adjunct Professor at the college during this period.

In 2015, Jamie gained experience in guest services as part of the Game Night Staff at the Washington Capitals. They then joined the Howard County Recreation and Parks department, first as a Facility Leader and later as a Recreation Supervisor. In these roles, Jamie coordinated and supervised various recreational programs and events, provided customer service, and assisted divisional staff.

Jamie Ponton began their education at Longwood University in 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. They then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management at Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 2013 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Jamie also obtained certifications as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional from the National Recreation and Park Association in January 2018, and as a Health Care Provider CPR & AED from the Emergency Care & Safety Institute in August 2015.
